The Wedding of Junior and Haley Boyd was filmed and photographed on September 2nd, 2017 in Colon MI. This wedding was fun and a joy to do. Both Junior and Haley along with Family pitched in helping with all the decorations and set up.

The Bride and Groom, along with their 8 children reside in Bronson, MI. Junior told Bride and Groom Photographers that he fell in Love with Haley at a very special place in Centreville, MI. “On that day, we took our kids to the dam and I looked at her, and could see the life I wanted to live, and the woman I wanted to share it with”…

“this wedding filmed in colon, mi”

Both Junior and Haley shared a common bond in their lives…both knew the heartaches and the disappointments that life can bring. And, Junior had a huge responsibility resting on his shoulders trying to raise children whom he had custody of as a single dad, while Haley was raising children on her own as a single mom. And so…this is truly the story of a modern day Brady Bunch…

Spending the day with both Junior and Haley, and knowing this couple for months before the wedding shoot, you could see the commitment and desire to be a true family unit. Today, after spending some time down in Florida for their honeymoon, The Boyds are everything the American Family should be. Their children participate in sporting events all year long, while both Junior and Haley go along for support.

It was Labor Day Weekend when the Boyds set the date to be wed. Guests arrived and a freshly butchered hog was being smoked..a tradition on Labor Day Weekend for many Michiganders. Catered In food was also served at the reception including Prime Rib and all the fixings. Haley’s parents held the wedding and reception at their home, saving the Boyd’s on their $5,000 budget. Decorations were provided by a neighbor who had been in the wedding decoration business and gave the service as a wedding gift to the Boyds. A tent was placed behind the wedding threshhold where the couple lighted their unity candle. Michigan weather is very unpredictable, and so the couple wanted to play it safe in case of rain. This was our very first wedding we filmed, and was excited to provide the service.

“She loves camping and children..and so does he”

We know Junior well enough to say, that we have not seen him more happier than he has ever been. Both Junior and Haley work full time in Middlebury, Indiana. Haley leaves for work at 4:30 in the morning, and Junior is right behind her. This couple, who juggles work, children’s school schedules, sports, and family needs, are what we would consider Super Mom and Super Dad.

The wedding couple drove down to Florida and spent some time on the white sands and beaches, took in the attractions, and had their honeymoon there. Boat rides, snorkeling, and other activities we cannot publish here were on the agenda…

During the filming of this wedding, there was a real sense of how much these people truly loved each other, and how they both knew that the commitment they made to one another was not to be taken lightly. With a blended family as large as this one, it takes a lot of hard work and patience for each of them. One got a sense of sincerity and the bond of love. It was noticeable also in the children, as they all played and got along perfectly. Marriage is not a commitment one should take lightly…
